Do you like pony rides? Picnics? Playgrounds? Nature in general?

Well, Pony Playland is going to be the place for you. We’ve got the ponies. We’re developing our property so it will be a highly enriching environment for those ponies and the people who come to visit them.

It’s becoming more common knowledge around the world that horses thrive on a track system. And people thrive in the presence of nature. Children of all ages love ponies (and unicorns… {we have plans!}), they love looking at them, petting them, riding them, and talking to them. Even just watching ponies run by is exciting and strangely soothing. Add in a peaceful creek setting and you’ve got a recipe for a small space to just chill and reset from this busy world. That’s what we’re creating.

On the right of the drawing above (5 acre paddock), after about 10-15 years of tree growth, we’ll have a mini native forest with tracks looping through for pony rides, cart rides, and strolls amongst the trees while Christmas songs play and fairy lights twinkle in the branches.

We will also be investigating some mini cross country obstacles to create challenges for the ponies and another activity for young and/or inexperienced riders to have a go at.

Our wee corner of the Earth is crying out to be more than just paddocks…

Watch this space…

  1. Hi!

I just noticed your horse ranch, and that you’re looking for volunteers 🙂

Please consider posting about this on Hippohelp.com.

It’s a platform connecting travellers with hosts all over the world. The travellers provide many different types of services in exchange for accommodation.

We’ve got travellers on the platform but need more hosts to make it work.

There are no costs involved, and you can use Facebook to log in :).

Also, if you have any questions on how to use it, or any feedback on how to make it better, please let me know!

    Best wishes,
    Leopold Huber
